Continued volatility coming from regulatory changes will impact revenue streams and physician productivity. This will potentially require adjustments in compensation design.

Physicians are continuing to move to part-time status, creating increased costs and challenges in setting performance expectations.

Fee-For-Service Designs Aren't Going Away...Yet

Similar to prior years, FFS models aren’t going away. However, changes in the reimbursement environment may move the needle on further transitions from volume to value.

Disparity Between Pay and Productivity

Although cash compensation increases slowed compared to the last two survey cycles, there continues to be divergence between increased costs and increased volume, putting pressure on health system margins.
